Experience the Thrill of Hunting in Connemara at Corrib Lodge

At Corrib Lodge, we offer all-inclusive hunting packages for 3 or 5 days, tailored for groups.

Depending on the time of the hunting season, between September and January, we can organize hunts for our guests targeting various types of game birds. Western Ireland is famous for migratory species such as snipe and woodcock, as well as snipe, several tipes of ducks, goose, and wood pigeons.

In terms of resident species, there is a good number of pheasants and hares in the area.

We entrust our clients to hunting reserves in the region (within a 1-hour drive) with hunting rights over vast lands that include woods, forests, bogs, and marshes; prime lands especially for woodcock and snipe starting in November.

The areas for shooting will be chosen by the guides based on weather conditions and where we believe there is the highest concentration of woodcock or snipe.

The terrain in Connemara is not easy, and considerable walking is usually required; a reasonable level of fitness is necessary. During the hunts, we work with Springer Spaniels and Labradors.

To shoot in Ireland from abroad, you must complete the "Non-Resident Firearm Application Form." When traveling from the EU, you will also need an original European firearms passport, a copy of your hunting license, and a copy of your personal hunting insurance. These documents, along with the fee for each firearm listed on your application, must be sent to us before your arrival. We ask that you send the requests all together for the group, as this causes less confusion and reduces the chances of loss. Once received, we will handle the rest and return them to you along with your Irish hunting license. This process typically takes about 3 to 4 weeks. Our shooting package includes lunch, guides, and is subject to a non-refundable deposit. Shooting teams are usually composed of six to ten people, and companions are welcome.
