Starting from February 15, 2025, Corrib Lodge officially opens its doors as a guest house for fishing enthusiasts and curious travelers who wish to explore West Ireland's picturesque landscapes, where mountains seem to rise directly from the ocean and green prairies stretch as far as the eye can see.
Staying with us means enjoying outdoor passions during the day and returning to an elegant lodge with a typically Italian welcome and cuisine. The owner, Guglielmo (William), moved from Milan to share his love for fishing and culinary arts with future guests.
The location is ideal, just 50 km from the university city of Galway and 8 km from the village of Oughterard, known for its ancient pub, Powers Tatch, and one of Ireland's most beautiful golf courses. For those who love golf, trekking, horseback riding, or simply exploring the wild Connemara by car, we will be happy to recommend activities and places to visit based on your interests.
The guest house, built in 2004, boasts a fabulous view of the lake and mountains, enhanced by large front-facing glass walls. With a total of six bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, underfloor heating, and tastefully refined furniture, Corrib Lodge promises a pleasant stay filled with excellent food, picturesque sunsets enjoyed with whiskey, and memorable fishing experiences.
