Boating Adventures from Corrib Lodge

Enjoy the serenity of Lough Corrib with a boat trip from Corrib Lodge. Glide over the crystal-clear waters, explore hidden islands, and take in breathtaking views of the mountains. Perfect for relaxation or adventure, boat excursions offer a memorable way to experience the natural beauty of Ireland.

Our guests who do not wish to take a guided tour can rent a boat from the lodge independently by downloading an app with the lake's nautical map onto their smartphones.

Lough Corrib is the largest lake in the Republic of Ireland and, at 45 km long, the second largest on the island. It is internationally renowned as a world-class sport fishing lake but also boasts 365 islands and views of the Maumturk mountains, offering stunning landscapes that are wonderful to explore. Inchagoill Island is the most well-known island between Oughterard and Cong, just a 15-minute boat ride from the lodge. This island is open to the public, featuring its ancient woodlands, numerous trails, and a picnic area, but it also holds historical significance. There are ruins of two churches and a surviving cemetery. You can explore St. Patrick's Church, believed to have been erected in the 5th century, and the Church of the Saints from the 12th century.
