We offer classic mountain bikes or electric-assist bikes for rent at the lodge.

Just like our trekking adventures, we are fortunate to have direct access from the lodge for our guests to embark on cycling excursions along the Western Way Trail or in Derroura Wood.

The Western Way Trail is a long pathway that runs along the northern part of the lake. To access it, simply leave your car at Hill of Dune (just 5 minutes from the lodge) and then walk to the trail that will take you to the Maam Mountains, offering breathtaking views of the lake, woods, and mountains.

The Derroura Mountain Bike Trail Network spans over 16 km and is located right at the doorstep of Connemara. Here, the trails will reward you with stunning views to the north over the Maam Valley and to the west towards the Twelve Pins. Derroura offers an incredible mountain biking experience in some of the most spectacular scenery of Connemara, featuring long climbs and thrilling descents with fantastic views dominating the entire Lough Corrib from the midpoint of the trails.
